Dense-flowered Maytenus, a name in traditional Chinese medicine. It refers to the leaves of Maytenus confertiflorus J. Y. Luo et X. X. Chen, a plant belonging to the genus Maytenus in the Celastraceae family. The plant is distributed in Guangxi. It has the effects of removing blood stasis, relieving pain, detoxifying, and reducing swelling. It is primarily used to treat contusions and sprains, as well as lower back pain, and possesses antitumor properties; in modern times, it has been experimentally used to treat cancer.
