Drug Formulation

Scutellaria baicalensis 1 liang, Ginseng 1 liang, Paeonia lactiflora 1 liang, Aconite (roasted) 1 liang, Licorice (roasted) 2 liang, Dried Ginger 2 liang, Rheum palmatum 2 liang, Magnolia officinalis (roasted) 2 liang.

Processing

Chop the ingredients.

Benefits

Cold in the spleen and stomach, resulting in inability to eat; undigested food in the stomach; rumbling, distension, and fullness in the abdomen; and occasional bouts of diarrhea.

Instructions for Use

Boil with 8 sheng of water until reduced to 2 sheng and 8 he. Divide into 3 doses; 4 doses may also be taken. If a bowel movement occurs, the treatment is effective; if not, take another dose shortly thereafter.

Note

Avoid pork, seaweed, and Chinese cabbage.
