Drug Formulation

Shengzhi Seeds (decocted, white flowers skimmed off, baked dry, and ground) 2 jin; Red Alum (finely ground) 5 liang; Calcined Potassium Carbonate 5 liang (finely ground, divided into 10 portions; add 1 portion per degree of calcination); Sesame Oil 100 liang (divided into 10 portions; add 1 portion per degree of calcination).

Processing

First, mix one portion of alum and salt with one portion of sodium carbonate, blend thoroughly, and mix with 10 liang of sesame oil. Place the mixture in a 5-sheng bottle sealed with a clay lid. Calcine over a charcoal fire of 10 jin until the flames die out and the charcoal is completely consumed. Remove, grind finely, then add another portion of sodium carbonate and another portion of oil. Calcine again over 10 jin of charcoal as before until complete. Repeat this process ten times, using a total of 100 jin of charcoal.Then grind the resulting mixture into a fine powder. Take a small amount at a time, grind it finely, and form it into pills the size of a Paulownia seed using steamed buns soaked in hot water.

Instructions for Use

Take 10 pills per dose, gradually increasing to 20 pills, and swallow them on an empty stomach with cold water.
