Processing

Except for the Stiff Silkworm and Realgar, wash all ingredients thoroughly with water, sun-dry them, and grind into a fine powder. Roll the powder into small cakes the size of a small coin using a paste made from glutinous rice flour, coat them with red ochre, score a cross on each with a knife, and let them dry.

Instructions for Use

Divide one cake into four doses and take on an empty stomach. For one-sided or bilateral headaches, chew and swallow with fresh scallion tea; for contusions and injuries, take with pine-knot wine; for “hammer-blow wind” with knee swelling, soak in Sichuan Achyranthes root wine before taking; for toothache, chew half a cake on the affected area after first taking one dose with scallion broth.
