8 fen of Fangfeng, 7 fen of Qingpi, 1 qian of Qianghuo, 1 qian of Duhuo, 1 qian of Huanglian, 6 fen of Chishao, 8 fen of Xixin, 1 qian of Jiangcan, 4 fen of Chantu, 5 fen of Zelan leaves, 7 fen of Jin Yin Hua, 1 qian of Licorice nodes, 7 fen of Dujiaolian, 7 fen of Ziheche (also known as Jinqian Chonglou).

Instructions for Use

Take 5 qian per dose; double the amount of honeysuckle (1 liang), mugwort (1 liang—use fewer leaves), and 10 slices of fresh ginger. Pound them together into a paste, steep in good wine until hot, strain out the solids, and drink while hot. For those who do not drink alcohol, decoction in water is also acceptable; afterward, use equal parts wine and water to decoct 10 slices of fresh ginger, and drink while hot to induce sweating.After the symptoms have subsided, add 5 qian of rhubarb and decoct together; take while hot to induce 2–3 bowel movements and eliminate toxins.
