Drug Formulation

2 liang of rhinoceros horn, 2 liang of Tussilago flower, 2 liang of Atractylodes macrocephala, 2 liang of Cinnamomum cassia bark, 2 liang of Stephania root, 2 liang of Scutellaria baicalensis, 1 sheng of fermented black beans, 2 liang of tangerine peel, 2 liang of Poria cocos, 4 liang of Peucedanum root, 4 liang of white mulberry bark, 1 handful of Perilla stems and leaves, and 10 jujubes.

Instructions for Use

Coarsely crush the ingredients. Boil in 9 sheng of water until reduced to 2 sheng and 7 he. Divide into 3 doses, taking each at intervals of approximately 10 li’s walk. Continue until the qi descends. Once the qi has descended, urination will become unimpeded, leg swelling will subside, and the patient will regain appetite.
