Drug Formulation

2 live soft-shelled turtles (each weighing approximately 16 liang or more), 1 liang of Curcuma zedoaria, 16 liang of fresh amaranth, and 1 liang of Acorus tatarinowii.

Processing

Chop the above four ingredients as needed, deep-fry them in 240 liang of sesame oil until charred, strain to remove the residue, and refine the oil until a drop forms a bead. Add 100 liang of realgar, stir well to form a paste. Immerse the mixture in water to remove the heat toxicity, then reheat to melt it.Separately prepare the fine ingredients: 5 liang of frankincense, 9 qian of cinnamon (with coarse bark removed), 5 liang of myrrh, 9 qian of agarwood, and 4 qian of musk. Grind them together into a fine powder, sift through a sieve, and mix 5 qian of the medicinal powder with every 16 liang of ointment.

Instructions for Use

Large patches weigh 7 qian; small patches weigh 4 qian 5 fen. When applying, melt over low heat and apply to the navel.
