Drug Formulation

5 jin of Poria (boiled 10 times in lye water, 10 times in whey, and 10 times in clean water); 5 jin of pine resin (boiled as per the Poria method, 40 times per batch); 5 jin of raw Asparagus root (remove the core and skin, sun-dry, and grind into powder); 3 jin of clarified butter (refined 30 times); 3 jin of white honey (simmered until all foam disappears); 3 jin of beeswax(refined 30 times).

Processing

Take the above six ingredients, grind and sift each separately. Place them in a copper vessel over a double boiler; first add the clarified butter, then the wax, then the honey. Once melted, add the medicinal ingredients and stir vigorously without stopping until thoroughly blended. Transfer to a fine porcelain container, seal with honey, and ensure no air escapes.

Instructions for Use

Fast for one day beforehand; before fasting, eat a hearty meal until extremely full, then cease eating. Immediately take 2 liang; after 20 days, take 4 liang; after another 20 days, take 8 liang. Form into fine pills and swallow them until they reach the middle of the throat. For the second course, start with 4 liang; after 20 days, take 8 liang; after another 20 days, take 2 liang.For the third course, begin with 8 liang; take 2 liang after 20 days, and 4 liang after another 20 days. The total duration is 180 days. Once the medicine is complete, take 3 pills thereafter as a tonic; taking them is optional. Consistently adjust the dosage with ghee and honey; it is best to take it with 1 sheng of fine wine.
