Drug Formulation

Chrysanthemum flowers, goji berries (seeds only), Cistanche deserticola (soaked in wine, then roasted), and Morinda officinalis (core removed)—each in equal parts.

Processing

Coarsely crush the ingredients, place them in a fine silk bag, and submerge in strong wine until the liquid exceeds half the height of the bag. Steep for 3 days in spring and autumn, and 7 days in winter; do not use in summer. Remove the bag each day once the steeping time is complete.

Instructions for Use

Drink one cup warm, three times a day—morning, evening, and noon—without becoming intoxicated. When taking the decoction, top up the wine as needed according to the amount consumed, stopping only when the flavor becomes faint. Alternatively, the residue from this decoction may be mixed with refined honey to form pills for oral administration.
