Drug Formulation

3 fen of Uncaria, 3 fen of Scutellaria baicalensis, 3 fen of Glehnia root, 1 liang of Anemarrhena asphodeloides (baked), 1 liang of Cimicifuga, 1 liang of rhinoceros horn (chipped),2 cicadas (roasted, with wings, head, and legs removed), 3 cun of snake shed skin (roasted), half liang of Bupleurum (stems removed), half liang of licorice (roasted, coarsely chopped), and half liang of Atractylodes.

Instructions for Use

Decoct in 2 sheng of water until reduced to 6 he; strain out the residue; add 2 he of honey and 3 he of bamboo sap; simmer further until it becomes a syrup-like consistency; administer 1 qian bi per dose, giving it to the child in small, gentle sips.
