Drug Formulation

2 qian of dragon’s blood, 2 qian of bear bile (ground), half a liang of ginseng, half a liang of snake shed (washed in soapberry water, soaked in fresh tile water), 1 liang of Eupatorium (knots removed, soaked in children’s urine, sun-dried), 1 liang of Atractylodes (soaked in children’s urine for two nights, sun-dried), 1 liang of Wilfordia,1 liang of Eagle-Claw Coptis (stems removed), 1 liang of Lycium Bark (washed and sun-dried), 1 liang of Vitex Seed, 1 liang of Leonurus Seed, 1 liang of Plantain Seed, 1 liang of Chuanxiong, 1 liang of Angelica Root, 1 liang of Notopterygium, 1 liang of Cicada Shed Skin (washed and sun-dried), 1 liang of Oyster Shell (calcined until half-raw), 20 sheets of silkworm-shed paper(roasted until charred).

Processing

Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder. Take one whole goat liver, remove the tendons and membranes, and simmer over low heat until half-cooked. While still bloody, pound it together with the medicine. Cook millet flour in the liver juice to make a paste, then use it to form pills the size of a Paulownia seed.

Instructions for Use

Take 70–80 pills per dose, washed down with warm rice water or a decoction of Acorus tatarinowii; take regularly after meals.
