Drug Formulation

Angelica sinensis (washed with wine) 3 liang, Chuanxiong 1 liang, White Peony Root (wine-fried) 2 liang,Rehmannia glutinosa (steamed with wine) 1 liang, Cyperus rotundus (soaked in children’s urine, stir-fried) 2 liang, Tangerine peel 1.5 liang, Phellodendron bark (peeled, soaked in children’s urine for 3 days, sun-dried) 1.5 liang, Anemarrhena rhizome (hairs removed) 1.5 liang (soaked in wine, sun-dried), Schisandra berries 1.5 liang, Atractylodes lancea (soaked in rice washing water, stir-fried) 2 liang,calcined oyster shell 5 qian, toon root bark (fried with wine) 2.5 liang (one formula includes white sunflower seeds; another includes Chinese cornelian cherry, steamed with wine, pitted, and omits schisandra).

Processing

Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder, then form into pills the size of a Paulownia seed using a wine paste.

Instructions for Use

Take 50 pills per dose on an empty stomach with lightly salted water; follow with food to settle the stomach.

Note

Avoid green onion whites, radishes, pepper, fried or stir-fried foods, and heat-inducing foods.
