Drug Formulation
2 qian of red lead, 1 liang of ginseng, 1 liang of poria, 1 liang of Chinese yam, 5 qian of licorice (roasted), 5 qian of calcined alum, 7 qian and 5 fen of cinnabar, 7 qian and 5 fen of cold-food flour, 8 fen of musk, 6 fen of borneol, and 2 qian of milk powder (made from the breast milk of a firstborn son; place a small amount in each dish, sun-dry, and collect for use).

Processing
Grind each ingredient separately until fine; then combine them and grind them together again until even finer. Use 2 liang of white honey and one large cup of first-born male infant’s milk. Place the honey in a porcelain bowl over a double boiler on low heat, stirring until it reaches a consistency where not a single drop of water can disperse it. When it has cooled slightly, add the prepared medicinal ingredients. Adjust the mixture to the appropriate consistency, then form it into pills the size of a longan seed. Coat them with gold leaf, store them in a porcelain jar, or seal them with wax—both methods are effective.

Take one pill at a time, dissolve it in a cup of hot wine, and consume it well after a meal.
