Drug Formulation

Xianmao 2 jin (soak in rice water for 5 days; drain off the red liquid; peel with a copper knife; chop finely with a copper knife; in summer, soak for only 3 days; dry in the shade, away from sunlight; when dry, it weighs 1 jin), Atractylodes lancea 2 jin (soak in rice water for 5 days, or 2 days if necessary; peel; bake until dry; when weighed, it amounts to 1 jin), Poria cocos (peeled) 8 liang,Plantain Seeds 12 liang, Fennel (roasted until fragrant) 8 liang, Goji Berries 1 jin, Raw Rehmannia Root (baked dry) 4 liang, Prepared Rehmannia Root (baked dry) 4 liang, Pine Nut Kernels (lightly roasted until yellow, then pounded) 8 liang.

Processing

Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder; mix with a paste made from wine and cooked flour to form pills the size of a tung tree seed.

Instructions for Use

Take 50–60 pills per dose on an empty stomach or before meals, washed down with warm wine; take twice daily, gradually increasing the dose to 70–80 pills.
