Drug Formulation
2 liang of He Shou Wu (use fresh; slice with a bamboo knife and sun-dry), 4 liang of Chuan Wu (first wrap in damp paper and roast; remove the skin), 4 liang of Cao Wu (soak in warm water for half a day; wash off the black hairs; scrape off the skin; slice into thick pieces along with the Chuan Wu; mix evenly with ash-free wine; place in a sand-lined vessel; simmer slowly over charcoal fire, gradually adding wine; simmer for one day and one night until the taste no longer causes numbness in the mouth),Atractylodes lancea 4 liang (soak in rice washing water overnight, remove the skin, slice, and stir-fry with wine), Angelica sinensis 2 liang (wash with wine), Aconite root 2 liang (peeled), Ephedra (remove the top node, soak in boiling water to remove foam) 4 liang, Platycodon grandiflorus (roasted) 4 liang,Licorice Root (roasted) 4 liang, Fangfeng 4 liang, Angelica dahurica 4 liang, Chuanxiong 4 liang, Ginseng 4 liang, Tianma 4 liang, Star Anise (roasted) 4 liang, Schizonepeta (roasted) 4 liang, Atractylodes macrocephala (roasted with flour) 4 liang, Wood Fragrance 1 liang, Dragon’s Blood 1 liang, Asarum 1 liang.

Grind the above ingredients into an extremely fine powder, mix with refined honey to form pills the size of a marble, each weighing 2 qian.

Instructions for Use
Dissolve in wine and take with a child’s urine; if unable to drink, dissolve in wine and take with plain hot water; for postpartum abdominal pain, dissolve in wine and take with Yi Mu Tang; for unmarried women with blocked meridians, prepare a decoction with peach kernels, sassafras, safflower, and angelica root, and take with the decoction.

Not suitable for those with labor-induced fever accompanied by deficient fire.
