Drug Formulation

3 pieces of crucian carp or carp shell (roasted until slightly yellow), half a viper (soaked in wine, then roasted until slightly yellow), 2 blister beetles (mixed with glutinous rice, stir-fried until slightly yellow, wings and legs removed), 1 centipede (roasted until slightly yellow, legs removed), half a liang of giant clam,2 horseflies (lightly stir-fried until pale yellow), 2 leeches (raw), 2 spiders (raw or dried), 3 mealworms (raw), 2 aconite roots (roasted until cracked, with skin and pith removed), 10 thunderworms, half liang of mercury (mixed with potash and pig’s blood, ground until all particles are completely dispersed), half liang of potash,half liang of Sichuan rhubarb (coarsely chopped, lightly roasted), 1 liang of gypsum (finely ground, washed with water), 15 castor beans (remove skin and core, grind, wrap in paper and press to remove oil), half liang of cinnamon bark,1 fen of Sichuan pepper (remove the seeds and any closed pods; lightly roast to remove the sweat), half a liang of Sichuan芒消, half a liang of Shewang, half a liang of dragon bone, half a liang of alum lime, half a liang of Coptis (remove the stalks), and half a liang of talc.
