Drug Formulation

Aged pine resin, camphor, Guo Dan (roasted), and water dragon bone (i.e., oil-limed residue from the bottom of an old ship).

Processing

Grind the ingredients into a fine powder; melt the pine resin and mix it with a small amount of green oil; use oiled paper to form an ointment pouch according to the size of the sore.

Instructions for Use

After washing the sore clean, apply the poultice; change it every 2–3 days. If ineffective, add Angelica dahurica, Ligusticum chuanxiong, and cuttlefish bone to the original ointment. If these are not added, decoct these three ingredients into a solution and use it to wash the sore; this is also effective.
