Benefits

For chronic syphilis with chronic discharge, pain in the tendons and bones; and mercury poisoning.

Instructions for Use

Coarsely crush the ingredients and divide into 10 doses. For each dose, use 1 zhong of water and 1 zhong of rice wine; decoct until fully cooked. If the sore is on the upper part of the body, take after meals; if on the lower part, take some time after meals. Re-decoct the residue. Take one dose per day; decoct twice and combine the decoctions to ensure even concentration, then divide into two portions and take warm.Dry the herbal residue in the sun daily; after collecting residue from three doses, boil them together to make a decoction for bathing. Within the first five doses, the condition may appear to worsen—this is due to the toxic energy being expelled outward; do not be alarmed. Mild cases will show improvement within 10 days; for severe cases, taking 20–30 doses is safe.

Note

Strictly avoid sexual activity, tea, raw or cold foods, fried or stir-fried dishes, chicken, goose, mutton, beef blood, shrimp, pig’s trotters and head—all of which are “triggering” foods or items that stir up wind. Consume only male pork.
