Drug Formulation

4 liang of Ligustrum fruit (soak in water with Scutellaria baicalensis and Coptis chinensis overnight; steam and sun-dry the next day; repeat this process three times), 4 liang of white gypsum (calcined and ground to a fine powder; decoct with 4–5 jin of tender mulberry leaves to extract the juice; reduce 1 bowl of the clear liquid to a dry consistency; then decoct 4 liang of Perilla frutescens and 1 liang of Schizonepeta tenuifolia to extract the clear liquid; let it dry before use),Anemarrhena rhizome 4 liang (clean and slice; divide into 4 portions: mix one portion with human milk, one with a child’s urine, and one with rock salt to moisten overnight; use one fen raw; roast all portions over low heat), Phellodendron bark 4 liang (clean; process according to the four methods described above), White peony root 1 liang (decoct in mulberry bark water until dry), Fritillaria bulb 2 liang (boil in ginger and alum water until dry),Almond kernels 2 liang (remove skin and tips; boil in water with rock salt until dry), Asparagus root 2 liang (remove core, cut into fine pieces, and stir-fry over low heat until dry), Oat straw 2 liang (remove core, and dry by baking over low heat), Ginseng 1 liang (cut into large slices; moisten with fine wine overnight; stir-fry with white liquor and malt powder until hot, then add ginseng and stir-fry gently until dry; remove the malt powder),2 liang of Poria (peeled and core removed; moistened with human milk overnight; dried over double the usual heat the next day), 1 liang of Astragalus (sliced; moistened with honey water overnight; stir-fried until dry), 5 qian of sugar-coated dates, 1 liang of Angelica sinensis (washed with wine and sun-dried; sliced; moistened with wine overnight; stir-fried), 1 liang of Aged Tangerine Peel (white pith removed; stir-fried), 2 liang of Lily Bulb (soaked in ginger broth; baked dry)
