Drug Formulation

1 liang of cotton-textured astragalus, 1 liang of forsythia, half a liang of Sichuan rhubarb (roasted), half a liang of pigeon droppings (burned to ash), half a liang of glutinous rice (roasted with 7 spotted beetles until golden; omit the beetles if unavailable), and half a liang of rhinoceros horn shavings.

Instructions for Use

Take 1 qian per dose; add 8 fen of water and 2–3 drops of wine; decoct until reduced to 5 fen; strain; let cool to lukewarm; sip frequently.
