Drug Formulation

620 g of Hibiscus syriacus bark, 310 g of redbud bark, 310 g of Sophora flavescens root, 150 g of Chinese toon root bark, 150 g of raw Sanguisorba officinalis root, 50 seeds of Cnidium monnieri, 100 spotted beetles (in a cloth bag), 30 centipedes, and 310 g of camphor.

Processing

Crush the first five ingredients into coarse granules, place them in a large bottle, add 5 liters of 75% alcohol, and add the spotted beetles (in a cloth bag) and thousand-gold seeds. Seal the bottle and let it steep for 1–2 weeks. Strain out the herbal residue, then add camphor and dissolve it. Set aside for later use.
