Drug Formulation

Atractylodes macrocephala (black core and stalks removed, soaked in rice wash, stir-fried) 4 liang; Trifoliate orange fruit (pulp removed, stir-fried with fermented soybeans) 2 liang;Half-processed Pinellia (boiled thoroughly in ginger slices and soapberry water) 4 liang, Southern Pinellia (prepared as above) 4 liang, Poria (peeled) 4 liang, Fritillaria (core removed) 1 liang, Scutellaria (roasted) 4 liang, Coptis (soaked in ginger juice and roasted) 2 liang, Trichosanthes Seed (roasted to remove oil) 4 liang,Platycodon root (stem removed) 3 liang, Licorice (roasted) 2 liang, Dried white alum 2 liang, Cyperus rhizome (soaked in a child’s urine and stir-fried) 2 liang, Sea stone 4 liang, Perilla seeds (stir-fried) 1 liang, Apricot kernels (peeled, tips removed, double kernels separated, stir-fried) 2 liang, Shenqu (stir-fried) 3 liang, Barley malt (stir-fried with flour), Hawthorn fruit 2 liang.

Processing

Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder. Use 1 bowl of decoction made from mint leaves and 1 bowl of ginger juice to form a paste with Shenqu, then roll into pills the size of a Paulownia seed.
