Drug Formulation

Ginseng (root removed) 2 liang, deer antler (hair removed) 1 liang, longan flesh 1 liang, Sichuan aconite slices 2 liang, aged tangerine peel 3 liang, dogspine (scalded to remove hair) 4 liang, goji berries 4 liang, psoralea (salt-water processed) 4 liang, Polygonatum (wine-roasted) 2 liang, rosehip flesh (hair removed) 4 liang,Chinese chive seeds 4 liang, Epimedium (processed with mutton fat) 4 liang, Cordyceps sinensis 2 liang, Achyranthes root (Huai variety, with root tips removed) 4 liang, Ganoderma lucidum 4 liang, Angelica sinensis 2 liang, Citrus medica 2 liang, donkey kidneys 2 liang, sparrow heads 50 (approximately 1 liang), brown sugar 6 jin, red rice yeast 8 liang, white honey 10 jin.

Processing

Place the ingredients in a clean container and transfer it to a reflux flask. Separately, take 100 jin of 45-degree baijiu; add 50 jin, 30 jin, and 20 jin of baijiu to the flask in that order, respectively. Add 8 liang of red yeast rice to adjust the color. Each time, heat until the baijiu boils for half an hour, then drain off the herbal decoction. Press the residue to extract the liquid,Combine the pressed liquid with the three extractions, place in a tank, mix thoroughly, store for 1 month, filter after settling, and bottle to obtain the final product. This product is an orange-red liquid with a fragrant aroma and a pungent, slightly bitter taste. Each bottle of medicinal wine weighs 10 liang, with a tolerance of no more than 1% above or below. The ethanol content should be 35–39%.
