Drug Formulation

1 lamb (Raise a pregnant ewe that has been fed 8 liang of black beans daily, mixed with fennel, epimedium, and dodder; when she gives birth to a pair of lambs at full term, select one male lamb for use;Raise the lamb to full term; feed it fine wine until its belly is full, then collect its blood for use; remove the fur with boiling water, wash the five viscera thoroughly, place 4 liang each of Gushi, Cistanche, rock salt, and fennel seeds into the cavity, sew it shut with thread, wrap it in lotus leaves, steam for three sticks of incense, then remove and roast until dry for use),8 liang of Poria cocos (soaked in goat’s milk, steamed, and sun-dried); 6 liang of Goji berries (mixed with lamb’s blood, steamed, and baked dry); 4 liang of Achyranthes root (soaked in wine, steamed); 8 liang of Rehmannia root (steamed with Amomum villosum and wine for 5 incense sticks’ worth of time); 4 liang of Cornus fruit (pitted, soaked in wine);4 liang of Tribulus terrestris (soaked in wine), 4 liang of Chinese yam (stir-fried), 4 liang of Angelica sinensis root (washed with wine), 4 liang of Eucommia ulmoides (coarse bark removed, stir-fried in ginger juice and salt water to remove fibers), 4 liang of Morinda officinalis (soaked in wine), 1 pair of tiger leg bones (roasted with clarified butter), 4 liang of Cuscuta chinensis (steamed once in goat’s milk, then stir-fried in black sesame oil),Fennel seeds 4 liang (stir-fried with lamb’s blood), Cistanche 4 liang (washed with wine, scales removed), Rock salt 4 liang (stir-fried with purified lamb’s blood).

Processing

Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder, combine with the four ingredients from the whole lamb mentioned earlier, and grind again into an extremely fine powder. Mix with refined honey to form pills the size of a Paulownia seed.
