Drug Formulation

Deer Antler Gelatin (roasted into beads) 1 liang, Deer Antler (de-skinned and dehaired, sliced, and roasted with butter; if butter is unavailable, roast with cloudy wine) 1 liang, Deer Antler Powder 1 liang, Yangqishi (calcined and quenched in wine) 1 liang, Large Aconite Root (roasted, with skin and navel removed) 8 qian, Angelica Root (with root tip removed) 8 qian,Rehmannia (steamed and baked nine times) 8 qian, Cinnabar (ground separately) half a qian, Cistanche 1 liang, Sour Jujube Seeds (shelled, pounded into a paste) 1 liang, Cypress Seeds (shelled, pounded into a paste with jujube seeds) 1 liang, Astragalus (honey-fried) 1 liang.

Processing

Grind the ingredients into a fine powder; mix with a paste made from flour boiled in wine to form pills the size of a tung tree seed.

Instructions for Use

Take 50 pills at a time, on an empty stomach, with either warm wine or salted broth. It is best to press them down with a dry object.
