Drug Formulation

5 fen of Sesamum indicum seeds, 5 fen of white Leiwan, 1 qian of Ctenolepis, 5 fen of Eupatorium, 5 fen of Scutellaria baicalensis, 5 fen of Saposhnikovia divaricata, 5 fen of Solanum, 3 fen of Angelica sinensis (washed with wine), 3 fen of turtle shell (washed with wine),Soft-shelled Turtle Carapace (washed with wine) 3 fen, Cicada Shed Skin 3 fen, Silkworm Shed Skin 3 fen, Small Trifoliate Orange Fruit (washed with wine) 3 fen, a small amount of Rhubarb, 20 remaining Soapberry Pods (stir-fried with 3 qian of beeswax).

Instructions for Use

Prepare one dose as follows: Use 1 da zhong of water, add 1 black plum, 7 bamboo leaves, and half a zhong of ash-free wine; decoct until reduced to 8 fen; take warm on an empty stomach. Follow with dry-fried lean pork. After taking 8 doses, worms will emerge from the tendons and roots; thereafter, remove the soapberry spines and cicada molts and do not use them. For external use, apply the tissue-regenerating herbs white dragon bone (5 fen) and red cinnabar (5 fen).Wrap the two ingredients in chicken gizzard and skin, place them inside a pig’s hoof horn, and calcine over fire; discard the gizzard and horn. Grind the two ingredients into a powder, add them to the previous decoction, and increase the dosage by 1 qian of the two ingredients per dose. Take four more doses to eradicate the parasites completely.

Note

Avoid sour and spicy foods, chicken and fish, wheat gluten, and substances that induce toxicity or agitate wind. Limit alcohol consumption. Avoid distilled spirits, practice sexual restraint, and refrain from anger.
