Drug Formulation

3 fen of musk, 5 fen of borneol, 3 qian of bright realgar, 2 qian of frankincense, 2 qian of myrrh, 2 qian of dragon’s blood, 1 qian of bean cinnabar (i.e., high-quality cinnabar), 3 qian of raw rhubarb, and 3 qian of aged lime (the older, the better; if not aged, it may cause pain upon application).

Processing

Grind the ingredients into a fine powder. First, place 8 liang of yellow gelatin in a bowl and melt it over a water bath. Mix the powdered ingredients into the melted gelatin until well blended. Use a new brush to apply the ointment onto alum-treated paper, allow it to dry, and store it.

Instructions for Use
