Drug Formulation

1 qian of Shiting Zhi, half a qian of Angelica sinensis, half a qian of mercury oxide, a small amount of borneol, and 3 qian of areca nut.

Processing

Grind the ingredients into a fine powder, place it in a silk bag, and inhale the scent through the nose. At night, moisten the sore with saliva, then rub the powder onto the nasal sore. At daybreak, wash the powder off with water. Additionally, use Xanthium grass—harvested at noon on the 5th day of the 5th lunar month, air-dried, soaked in wine, steamed and sun-dried nine times each—ground into a powder, mixed with refined honey, and formed into pills the size of a marble.
