5 liang of white-flowered snake and 1 black snake.

From *Yang’s Family Prescriptions*, Volume 12.

Processing

Wash the herbs thoroughly with water, drain well, remove the heads, tails, and 2 cun of flesh from the back of the neck (discard these parts), and cut the remaining portions into segments approximately 2 cun long. Use 1 dou of ash-free liquor and 1 jin of maltose formed into lumps; place both the snakes and the maltose into the liquor to soak. Seal the bottle tightly and let it steep for 15 days. Remove the snakes, discard the skin and bones, and roast them until dry before grinding into a fine powder. Then, use the original medicinal liquor to cook a wheat flour paste and form it into pills the size of a Paulownia seed.
