Drug Formulation

Sichuan Rheum 4 liang (mixed with 1 liang bamboo sap, 1 qian ginger juice, and 3 qian sodium carbonate; steamed three times), Trichosanthes Seed 4 liang (oil removed), Clam Shell 4 liang (calcined and sifted), Tangerine Peel (roasted) 4 liang, Poria 3 liang, Aged Bile 3 liang (processed with ginger, steamed), Atractylodes (roasted) 3 liang,Tianma 2 liang (baked), Puxi 2 liang (calcined and sifted), Pengshu 2 liang (fried with wine), White Mustard Seed 2 liang (fried), Peppermint Leaves 1 liang 6 qian, Stone Acorus 1 liang, Agarwood 1 liang, Indigo Powder (sifted) 1 liang, Processed Pinellia (fried with bamboo sap and ginger juice) 6 qian, Sichuan Coptis (fried with ginger juice) 5 qian,Tian Zhu Huang 3 qian, White Cardamom Seed 3 qian, Borneol 1 qian.

Processing

Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder. Mix with 9 fen of bamboo sap and 1 fen of ginger juice to form pills the size of mung beans. Then, grind the following three ingredients—5 qian of roasted gypsum, 2 qian of ox bile, and 1 qian of cinnabar—into a fine powder to serve as a coating.
