Drug Formulation

2 liang of Ghost Arrow Feather, 60 peach kernels (with skin and tips removed), 4 liang of peony root,2 liang of Paeoniae Radix (peel removed), 1 liang of Citrus Peel, 2 liang of Angelicae Radix, 5 liang of Fresh Ginger, 2 liang of Cinnamomi Cortex, 1 liang of Bupleurum Root, 2 liang of Cinnabar (ground; add after the decoction is complete), 1 fen of Musk (ground; add after the decoction is complete), 2 liang of Mirabilite (ground; add after the decoction is complete), and 3 liang of Rheum officinale (soaked separately).

Chop the ingredients as above.

Benefits

For unbearable pain in the chest and abdomen resembling a food-induced illness; or for sudden onset of severe food-induced illness causing agitation and stabbing pain so intense it feels like death.

Instructions for Use

Boil in 9 sheng of water over high heat until reduced to 3 sheng; divide into 3 doses to be taken while warm, spaced 6–7 doses apart as one would walk. Once the patient has 3–4 loose, well-formed bowel movements, recovery is assured.
