Benefits

For all types of consumptive diseases and consumptive wasting caused by parasitic infection, regardless of whether the condition is chronic or recent.

Instructions for Use

Soak the four ingredients—peach branches, Artemisia, licorice, and scallion whites—in 2 sheng of a child’s urine overnight. At the first watch of the following day, decoct to yield 6 he, strain out the dregs, add asafoetida, and boil for four more boils. Divide into two doses; just before taking each dose, mix in half a liang of ground areca nut and take together. If nausea occurs, one must vomit; after vomiting, take the second dose. While taking the medicine, do not speak to the patient or face the patient directly, lest harmful worms fly into the mouth or nose. Take two doses in spring and three in autumn. Five doses per year will completely eradicate the consumption-causing worms. If the disease is in the upper part of the body, vomiting will occur first; if in the lower part, diarrhea will follow. In both cases, black worms resembling hair or horsehair will be expelled.
