Drug Formulation
1 cun of 5 fen of silk, 2 fen of unwashed hair (washed clean), 1 liang of Scutellaria baicalensis, 1 liang of Aster tataricus (washed to remove stems and soil), 1 liang of Datura seeds, 1 liang of Prickly Ash thorns, 2 liang of Frankincense, 1 liang of rock salt, 2 liang of beeswax,1 liang of musk (finely ground), 7 liang of orpiment, 1 liang of white lead, 1 sheng of raw sesame oil, 2 liang of pine resin (pounded together with frankincense and oil into a paste), and 1 liang of mercury (ground with white lead and a small amount of water until all flecks disappear).

Processing
After pounding and grinding all the above ingredients, first pour the wine into a cauldron and heat until a slight smoke rises. Immediately add 5 fen of silk and tangled hair, then boil over high heat. Once the hair and silk have completely dissolved, add the four ingredients including Scutellaria baicalensis;After a considerable time, add the pine resin and frankincense, and stir again; after another considerable time, add musk and beeswax, and stir thoroughly until well blended; next, add orpiment, white lead, rock salt, and mercury, and stir vigorously over low heat without stopping. Test the consistency by adding a bowl of cold water; if it hardens, remove it from the heat.
