Drug Formulation

Twining bean vine (or the fine red threads缠绕 on soybean or mung bean roots; harvested on the “Fusheng Shengqi” day in the 8th lunar month, air-dried for later use) 1 liang 5 qian; black soybeans 30 grains; red adzuki beans 70 grains; fresh Cimicifuga root 7 qian and a half;Hawthorn pulp 1 liang, Schizonepeta (with spikes) 5 qian, Fangfeng (stem removed) 5 qian, Raw Rehmannia (soaked in wine, then roasted) 1 liang,Chuan Duhuo 5 qian, licorice (raw) 5 qian, Angelica sinensis (washed with wine) 5 qian, red peony root 7.5 qian, Coptis (stems and branches removed) 5 qian, Platycodon root 5 qian, cinnabar (ground separately, water-washed) 1 liang, burdock seeds (roasted) 1 liang, aged loofah (from the previous year, having endured frost; take 5 cun including the vine and calyx, charred until carbonized) 2 pieces.
