On the twenty-fourth day of the twelfth lunar month, at the fifth watch: well water and frankincense.

Instructions for Use

Collect the first water drawn at dawn and place it in a clean vessel. Depending on the number of people, soak frankincense in it until the fifth watch of the first day of the New Year, then warm it until lukewarm. From children to adults, each person should take one small piece of frankincense and swallow it with one or two sips of the water; this will protect them from seasonal epidemics for one year.
