Drug Formulation

5 jin of Sichuan Magnolia Bark (calcined in a clay jar until bright red, then finely ground to a powder), 1 sheng of light bamboo sap.

Processing

Mix the bamboo sap with the Chuan Pu Xiao until evenly moistened. Take one large bamboo tube; first pack half a jin of oyster shell powder into the tube, then add the Chuan Pu Xiao mixture, followed by another half jin of oyster shell powder. Seal it with three layers of waxed paper to prevent air from entering,place it in a steamer, bury it on all four sides with black beans until the tube’s opening is completely covered, and steam for one fu-shi. Allow it to cool, remove the beans, open the tube, remove the oyster shell powder, and finely grind the remaining mixture into a powder.

Instructions for Use

After each meal, mix one qian with water and take it. After consuming 2–3 jin, you will gradually become resistant to cold and heat and sweat less; after consuming 5–7 jin, your complexion will remain fresh, all ailments will be eliminated, and you will never sweat for the rest of your life. In the summer, you can wear fur robes, brave the scorching heat, and walk on ice and snow without fear.
