Drug Formulation

27 cun of Sophora japonica twigs, 27 cun of willow twigs, 10 liang of sesame oil, 5 qian of Angelica sinensis, 5 qian of Angelica dahurica, 5 qian of Asarum sieboldii, 5 qian of Anemarrhena asphodeloides, 5 qian of Gleditsia sinensis seeds, 5 qian of gallnut, 10 liang of colophony, 5 qian of frankincense, 5 qian of myrrh, 4 qian of real dragon’s blood, 3 qian of genuine dragon’s blood, 2 qian of mercury oxide, 1 qian of musk.

Instructions for Use

Apply to the arm for arm pain, and to the leg for leg pain. For leg pain, after applying the plaster, soak the toes in hot water, leaving them exposed, and rinse from the site of pain downward. Then, dip a cloth in hot water, press it against the plaster to steam it until warm; the pain will gradually shift down to the joints. Next, reapply the plaster as directed, working down joint by joint to the ankle. Finally, apply it to the sole of the foot; a blister will form, and once yellow fluid is discharged, the condition will be cured.
