Drug Formulation

1 fresh pig’s lung, 1 liang of Southern Glehnia, 1 liang of Ophiopogon, 1 liang of Polygonatum, 1 liang of Mulberry Bark, 1 liang of Mulberry Leaves, 1 liang of Tussilago Flower, 1 liang of Loquat Leaves, 1 liang of Xuanhu, 1 liang of Platycodon, 1 liang of Elephant’s Tusk, 5 qian of Licorice, 5 qian of Guangpi, 5 qian of Trifoliate Orange Peel, 5 qian of Ginger-processed Pinellia, 1 liang of Artemisia Annua Seeds, and 1 liang of Stemona.

Processing

Wash the pork lung thoroughly and remove the membrane; remove the fuzz from the loquat leaves. Mix all the herbs together, add 10 jin of fresh water, and use the steam distillation method to distill each batch into 6 jin of elixir.
