Drug Formulation

1 liang of ox-gall-processed Tiannanxing (if unavailable, substitute with processed Banxia prepared according to standard methods), 1 liang of Ginseng, 1 liang of Poria, 1 liang of Platycodon, 1 liang of dried Pueraria root, 1 liang of Ophiopogon (with core intact), 1 liang of Cinnamon (bark removed), 1 liang of Perilla leaves (extremely fragrant), 1 liang of Licorice (roasted),1 liang and a half of dried plum pulp, 1 liang and a half of amla (pitted) (if amla is unavailable, substitute with Baiyao Decoction).

Processing

Grind the ingredients into a fine powder, sift through double-layered silk, mix with refined honey to form pills the size of cherries, and coat with raw cinnabar.

Instructions for Use

Typically, let 1 pill dissolve under the tongue; a clear fluid will gush forth from beneath the tongue. If experiencing dry thirst, chew 2–3 pills and swallow them with Ophiopogon water.
