Drug Formulation

Acorus tatarinowii (hairs removed; 1 cun with 9 nodes is best) 1 liang, Lycium barbarum bark (wood removed) 1 liang, Poria cocos (skin and wood removed) 1 liang, Polygala tenuifolia flesh (soaked in licorice water, core removed) 1 liang, Panax ginseng (root base removed) 3 qian, Morinda officinalis (bone removed) 5 qian.

Processing

Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder. Combine with 2 liang of white Poria (peeled) and 2 liang of glutinous rice, and grind them together into a fine powder. Separately, crush 3 qian of Acorus tatarinowii, decoct it in water to make a concentrated decoction, strain out the residue, and boil the liquid down to a paste to form pills.

Take 30–50 pills per dose after meals, at noon, and before bedtime.
