Drug Formulation

2 liang of Ephedra (knots removed), 2 liang of Coptis, 40 apricot kernels (skin and tips removed), 1 sheng of red adzuki beans, 12 jujubes (split), 1 sheng of raw white bark of Toona sinensis (sliced), 2 liang of fresh ginger (sliced), and 2 liang of licorice (roasted).

Instructions for Use

Coarsely crush the ingredients. Add 1 dou of rainwater; first boil the Ephedra until it comes to a boil again, then skim off the foam. Next, add the remaining herbs and decoct until reduced to 3 sheng. Strain out the residue, divide the decoction into 3 portions, and take them warm in three doses, finishing the entire amount within half a day.
