Instructions for Use
Stir-fry the above ingredients until the glutinous rice becomes crisp; remove the cantharides and Chinese toadstools, finely grind the glutinous rice, and take it mixed with wine; or stir-fry and grind the cantharides, Chinese toadstools, and glutinous rice together, add 1 qian of cinnabar, and take it with wine; or use 3 Chinese toadstools (stir-fried with aged wall soil),7 spotted beetles (stir-fried with glutinous rice), along with rhubarb, poria, and musk; grind into a powder and take with wine—all of these methods are effective.If the injury has persisted for many days, increase the number of Mylabris to 21; furthermore, there will certainly be three red hairs on the head of each Mylabris—pull them out immediately. The toxin will be expelled through urine or stool; in the early stages, it appears as bloody fluid; as the condition progresses, it forms blood clots that resemble the shape of a dog. Once the toxin is completely expelled, abdominal pain ceases, and both urination and defecation resume; then take Coptis and Licorice Decoction to clear residual heat.
Note
For three months, avoid the sound of gongs and drums, sexual activity, and all substances that induce toxicity; for the rest of one’s life, avoid mutton and dog meat.
