Drug Formulation
1 jin of Southern Cyperus rhizome (soak once in a child’s urine, twice in wine, three times in salt water, and four times in vinegar.Each time, after 5 days in spring, 3 days in summer, 7 days in autumn, and 10 days in winter, remove and sun-dry), 1 liang 5 qian of government-grade ginseng, 1 liang 5 qian of Sichuan angelica, 1 liang 5 qian of red peony root, 1 liang 5 qian of white peony root, 1 liang 5 qian of fragrant white angelica, 1 liang 5 qian of Sichuan ligusticum, 1 liang 5 qian of Corydalis, 1 liang 5 qian of polygala (with the core removed),Atractylodes macrocephala 1 liang 5 qian, Cinnamomum cassia 2 liang 5 qian, Poria cocos 2 liang 5 qian, Paeonia suffruticosa 2 liang 5 qian, Achyranthes bidentata 2 liang 5 qian, Rehmannia glutinosa 4 liang 5 qian (washed in wine, steamed), Cynanchum atratum 4 liang (stem removed), Glycyrrhiza uralensis 7 qian 5 fen, Ligusticum chuanxiong 3 liang.

Processing
Except for Xiangfu, which is prepared separately, all 17 ingredients should be soaked in wine for 5 days in spring, 3 days in summer, 7 days in autumn, and 10 days in winter, then sun-dried and ground into a powder for later use. Subsequently, add 1 liang each of Red Ocher and White Ocher. Soak these two ingredients in good vinegar for 3 days, then calcine them over a fire until red-hot before quenching them in vinegar; repeat this process 7 times, bake them dry, grind into a powder, and mix into the herbal formula.Add 2 liang each of Frankincense and Myrrh, 5 qian of genuine Amber, and 5 qian of Cinnabar (sifted). Simmer these four ingredients in wine, grind them into a paste, and mix them into the previous formula. Form into pills the size of a marble using refined honey, coat them with gold leaf, dry them in the sun, store them in a porcelain jar, seal it tightly, and keep for future use.

Instructions for Use
Whenever men or women experience any of these symptoms, take one pill, place it in a porcelain bowl, add half a bowl of cooked wine, steam it, and consume the mixture. For women suffering from various ailments before or after childbirth, or during the postpartum recovery period, use a small half-bowl of boiling water. Crush the pill by hand, place it in the bowl, and let it dissolve. Cover the bowl with a small plate. If the water cools, place the bowl in a pot and gently reheat it over low heat. Remove the bowl, grind the contents into a fine powder with a silver spoon, and consume it.For postpartum ailments, add a few drops of vinegar to the bowl containing the medicine and consume it. Once the powder in the bowl is completely dissolved, rinse the bowl with wine and drink it all, until slightly intoxicated. After taking the medicine, sit for a short while until you feel drowsy, then lie down, cover yourself warmly with clothes and blankets, and allow a full-body sweat to bring relief—all ailments will subside. If a woman experiences abdominal pain during her menstrual period, taking one pill will prevent pain during the following cycle;If taken continuously for three days before menstruation according to the instructions, even those who have been unable to conceive for a long time will surely become pregnant in old age. If the medicine is taken on the third day after menstruation and intercourse follows, a son will certainly be conceived; if intercourse occurs on the sixth day, a daughter will be conceived.
