Drug Formulation

1 ox nose, 2 liang Codonopsis, 2 liang honey-fried Astragalus, 1 liang Atractylodes, 1 liang 5 qian Angelica sinensis root, 1 liang 5 qian White Peony root, 4 liang Prepared Rehmannia root, 1 liang Donkey-hide gelatin, 3 liang Huai yam, 3 liang Dipsacus root, 4 liang Eucommia bark, 7 qian Scutellaria root, 5 qian fried Licorice root,7 qian of Amomum villosum, 1 liang of rolled lotus leaf, and 1 liang of silkworm cocoon shells.

Processing

First, roast the three ingredients—ox nose, lotus leaf, and silkworm cocoon shells—until charred but retaining their properties, then grind them into a powder and set aside for later use; next, pound the prepared rehmannia root into a paste, mix it with the other herbs (except for donkey-hide gelatin), grind into a fine powder, and blend thoroughly with the previously prepared powder; then, melt the donkey-hide gelatin in boiling water and use it to form pills the size of mung beans, yielding approximately 21 liang of pills.

Take 1 qian 5 fen to 2 qian each time, swallowed with boiling water, twice daily.
