Ginseng and Tortoise Pill

Ginseng and Tortoise Pill,Various types of hemorrhoids and fistulas.

Formulas Name : Ginseng and Tortoise Pill

Chinese Name : 参龟丸

Drug Formulation

1 liang of Ginseng, 3 qian of Sedum (dried; this herb is extremely difficult to dry—it dries after being carried on the body for half a month; its efficacy lies in absorbing human qi), 5 liang of Poria, and 1 live turtle.

Source

*Dongtian Aozi*, Volume 9.

Processing

Grind each of the above herbs into a fine powder. Wrap the turtle along with the powders in cotton paper, layering it more than ten times so that the turtle cannot escape. Roast it over a low flame; if the turtle dies, switch to a high flame. Once the turtle is dead, remove the herbal powders and wrap them separately. Roast the turtle carcass until dry, crush it, and roast it again until dry. Use the entire carcass along with the herbs and honey to form pills.

Benefits

Various types of hemorrhoids and fistulas.

Instructions for Use

Take only 30 pills daily; there is no need to complete an entire course of treatment—even half a course will cause the fistula and discharge to disappear, leading to a full recovery.

Note

Abstain from sexual intercourse for three months; goose meat must be avoided for life. If these restrictions are violated, pain will recur; in such cases, urgently prepare a decoction using several stems of houseleek and a few qian of Pi Xiao, then use the hot steam for fumigation and the warm liquid for washing to alleviate the symptoms. Do not arbitrarily adjust the ingredients of the above formula.
