Drug Formulation

4 liang of tiger tibia, 3 liang of ephedra, 2 liang of saposhnikovia root, 1 liang of red ginseng, 5 liang of guanjin, 3 liang of cinnamon twig, 2 liang of Huai achyranthes root, 4 liang of white flower snake,2 liang of roasted Strychnos nux-vomica, 4 liang of Stephania root, 3 liang of tangerine peel, 2 liang of Eucommia bark, 2 liang of Angelica sinensis, 4 liang of Carica papaya, 2 liang of myrrh, 3 liang of Clematis root, 2 liang of Gentiana root, 4 liang of cassia bark, 1 liang of deer antler, 2 liang of frankincense, 1 liang of Dipsacus root, 1 liang of Psoralea seed, 1 liang of turtle shell gelatin, 2 liang of Notopterygium root, and 3 liang of dragon’s blood flowers.

Processing

Place all the herbs in a muslin bag, place the bag in a jar, and pour in 100 jin of white liquor. Seal the jar tightly, then place it in a pot of boiling water and simmer for 6 hours. Remove the bag and strain out the residue. Add 6 jin of rock sugar; add the dragon’s blood and rock sugar last.

Instructions for Use

Take one cup (approximately 2 qian) warm, once in the morning and once in the evening.

Contraindicated for pregnant women.
