Drug Formulation

Cinnabar, ginseng, southern pinellia (roasted), Poria cocos (sliced), polygala root (soaked in ginger juice, then baked), gastrodia, white aconite, and dried silkworm (roasted)—each in equal parts; borax, half the amount; and a small amount of musk.

Processing

Grind the ingredients into a fine powder, mix with refined honey to form a paste, shape into pellets the size of a tung tree seed, and coat each with gold leaf.
