Processing

Combine the above ingredients with 3 jin of sesame oil and steep overnight. Simmer until charred, then strain out the residue. Add 1 jin of finely ground yellow丹 (the color of wheat), and quickly stir with two willow or peach wood sticks until the mixture forms beads when a drop of water is added. Add 4 liang each of powdered myrrh and frankincense to thicken the paste.

Instructions for Use

Apply to the spine, on the third vertebra counting down from the top. Starting on the first day of the “Fu” period, apply one plaster daily for the full duration of the three “Fu” periods; then, starting on the Winter Solstice, apply one plaster daily for the full “Nine-Nines” period. This eradicates the disease at its root.
