Chinese Name : 磁石羊肾丸

Drug Formulation

2 liang of magnetite powder (calcined 7 times, quenched in vinegar; decocted with 1 he of scallion seeds and 3 liang of akebia for one day and one night; remove the scallion seeds and akebia), 1 liang of Sichuan pepper (seeds removed), 1 liang of stone jujube (pits removed), 1 liang of Fangfeng, 1 liang of Atractylodes macrocephala, 1 liang of Poria cocos, 1 liang of Northern Asarum, 1 liang of Chinese yam,Chuanxiong 1 liang, Polygala root 1 liang, Aconite (roasted) 1 liang, Wood Fragrance 1 liang, Angelica sinensis 1 liang, Cuscuta seed (soaked in wine, stir-fried) 1 liang, Astragalus 1 liang, Deer antler (soaked in wine overnight, roasted) 1 liang, Cinnamon bark 6 qian and a half, Prepared Rehmannia root (steamed 9 times) 2 liang, Acorus tatarinowii 1 liang and a half.

Processing

Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder. Take 2 pairs of sheep kidneys (with skin and membranes removed) and simmer in wine until tender. Mix the powdered herbs thoroughly, then use the wine from the simmered sheep kidneys to form a paste and roll into pills the size of a Paulownia seed.

For wind-deficiency with mental dullness, occasional hearing loss, or symptoms of wind-bi.

Instructions for Use

Take 110 pills per dose on an empty stomach, washed down with warm wine or salted broth. Alternate this treatment with Qing Shen San.

Note

Avoid beef, chicken, and duck.
