Half a jin of rhubarb, half a sheng of toadflax seeds (roasted), half a sheng of sodium sulfate, half a sheng of apricot kernels (with skin and tips removed, roasted until black).

Instructions for Use

Pound and sift the first two ingredients; add apricot kernels and sodium silicate, then grind together until smooth as grease. Mix into a powder and form into a pill the size of a marble. Separately, pound 1 qian bi of Gan Sui into a fine powder; combine with 2 he of white honey and 2 sheng of water, boil until reduced to 1 sheng; take this warm in a single dose. A bowel movement will occur after one night. If no bowel movement occurs, take another dose; the treatment is effective once a bowel movement is achieved.

Note

This formula is extremely potent in promoting diuresis and eliminating accumulations; however, it should not be taken lightly by those who are not physically robust.
